Exclamation Refridgeration DEAD

hi crew! we just got to North Carolina and our AC fridge system is DEAD. we had our DC system die last year. They were both old. i dont fault them. And we did get a quote from a great company last year and their rec was to put in a new DC system and forego an AC system. We have a HUGE house bank and a 9 KW northern lights generator. SOOOO before i can leave in wha was planned as 5 days!!! i need new refrideragtion. we have the cold plates now in the fridge and freezer (ac and dc though again we are thinking to only do dc) and its currently water cooled.

Best new system????? i have to order tomorrow and get to the boat for install YESTERDAY!

Re: Refridgeration DEAD

Tell us about your boxes, size , amount of insulation , top opening . Are they separates , fridge and freezer or is it a spill over system ?
Regards

Re: Refridgeration DEAD

Got in touch with sea frost. Got a front loading fridge built in box 3'x2.5'x3'and a top loading freezer 3x2/1.5x2.5. Had two separate systems (ac and dc). D.C. One died but ac was kicking until this incident. Be a nice upgrade but the cost is going to hurt. Sea frost recs their bd system.

Re: Refridgeration DEAD

I have a much smaller system on a much smaller boat but I have to say after 29 maintenance free years of seasonal use if I ever need to replace my refridgeration unit (LT-200) I will definitely stick with Nova Kool.

Re: Refridgeration DEAD

My ancient Nova Kool system just died this year and I replaced it with Sea Frost. Very happy so far. Great control panel, small compact unit, choose air or water cool with the flick of a switch, significantly more efficient.
