Ray 55 VHF radio indicates "NO GPS"

I have a new beneteau first 36.7 with a Raymarine C 90 widescreen, ST60 tridata and wind and ST6002 smartpilot, and Ray55 VHF.

I've just set up my new MMSI number into my Ray55 for the DSC features, and find that it flashes indicating 'NO GPS'. I've checked all menu options on the Ray55 and the C90 widescreen, but can't seem to figure out how to integrate the GPS with the Ray55 radio.

It doesn't currently have a chart card in it, but that's another story.

Beneteau responded with telling me that the chart card would have no bearing upon this problem Essentially, should the port to which the VHF radio is interfaced be configured for NMEA 4800, there not be any wiring or hardware problems, the MFD be reporting that is has a GPS position FIX, then VHF radio should not report NO GPS.

I checked and it is set to NMEA 4800.

Any ideas of what to check next?

Thanks everyone!

where is the NMEA data coming from , if its the C90 then check that the NMEA output is switched on and that the output is configured to send GLL, GGA, RMA or GNS sentences ( any one ) Baud rate should be 4800 after that its wiring.

Thanks Dave. Yes, I double checked what you suggested and all seems in order.
It must be wiring. From the back of the radio, it looks like the connections are good. So it must be at the C90 end. Not sure how to tackle that though as it's mounted on a binnacle.
