Propane Gas Detector

Anyone ever install a propane gas detector? I installed a fire protection system recently, and started thinking about all the different ways I could blow up the boat (not on purpose). The propane storage/use scares me the most. I see many detectors out there, at all price ranges, and wondered if anyone had any experience with using them. I imagine false alarms would be a little unnerving.

pjb-I have installed several gas detectors and all will give a "false" alarm depending on what hydrocarbons you have floating around your boat. I had one Owner that couldn't use Right Guard as it would set off the alarm!

That being said, it is worthwhile to install one, even with the occasional false alarm. One hint: The sensor does not tolerate even one drop of water. Install accordingly.
