These sensors are well known for failure and the only alternative once they start with false alarms is to replace it. We had a Xintex that would last about a year and we would have to replace it at about $35.00 each and my time. They will begin setting off the
alarm occasionally and progressively get worse by doing it more often. Having said that, keep in mind that solvents, certain cleaners and your
batteries gassing will also set them off.
