Perovskite solar cells gear up to go commercial

Just to give a heads up on newer Solar Panel tech-These coming panels will give over %30 solar conversions!! This a %50 jump in output.Lets see next year what the % increase will be in costs and durability.

All the best

And lets see what the conversion will be in reality.

Doncha just love people who see someone give an upper limit estimate and immediately exaggerate is as an absolute.

Reminds me of a very recent thread here about a certain propulsion system.

Do you buy much at those "up to 90% off" sales?

Let's look at what was actually said.in your link.

"perhaps converting as much as 30% of incoming light energy into electricity."

As for seeing cost and durability data next year. Don't hold your breath.

"Steady progress is also being made in making perovskites rugged and durable enough to survive in real-world conditions. If all goes well, the first commercially made perovskite-silicon tandems could be ready for field tests in 2018."

Yep, every silver lining has a cloud... breath holding in this case could be detrimental to your health!
