At least two brands are nearly ready with diesel fuel cells. They claim 3x efficiency of a diesel genset.

I like that.

Fuel cells work by using the hydrogen and oxygen to generate electricy with water as waste. They can use methane as it is mostly hydrogen with some waste sht. Diesel would have much more waste to dispose.
