Onan Generator Emergency Stop Switch trips - how to diagnose fault

Just running my MDKBM 11KvA and it shuts down with no error lights at the remote control. Inspect Unit and find Emergency Stop switch is OFF at unit. Reset switch to ON and starts easily runs for 3 mins then shuts down same way - emergency stop trips. I have isolated the AC and 230V systems via breakers and everything off at main panel but problem persists. Recently fitted new fuel pump and impeller but unit has run for about 20 hrs with no probe since that work. No sign of any water / oil / smell when unit panel removed and inspected. Any thoughts how to proceed?

I also got the same problem before. However, after changing a starter, it looks better...

Re: Onan Generator Emergency Stop Switch trips - how to diagnose fault

The problem was a short in the fuel pump caused by corrosion by sea water leaking from the water pump. replaced highly corroded fuel pump unit runs . I have been told that the 'emergency cut off switch' is also a thermal breaker - certainly one of the wires to it showed signs of heat stress consistent with shorting from the fuel pump. others have said it is only an on off switch and must be faulty - but as i said replacing the corroded rule pump fixed problem.
