Folks, I have moved a thread down here in the proper section on behalf of a poster vbKlower. Sorry for the inconveniance, but it woudl have gotten lost where it was.
Good day to all, I am looking for practical and inexpensive solutions for DC
power production aboard my small
sloop that is used for overnighters and quick two to four day getaways. I have four
solar panels and a
wind generator with charge controllers on my larger
Catalina. This is an older
English sloop that I have toyed with in my spare time. Its funky and odd ( much like me!) and I have been refitting it on a shoe string. I have converted from an inboard to an
outboard on a bracket and have rewired completely both the AC and 12 volt system. My 12 volt system is no longer the positive ground original system but a 2 bank system with a proper breaker panel and dedicated
charger. I have the entire
engine compartment available for component placement and am open to any idea that sounds
cheap and fun. Thanks in advance for any
advice.
