Nothern Light Generator question.....

I have the above generator, model M673L3, 110V, 60 hz.

I have looked at all my manuals and can not find a spec for the continues amp output. I have looked for a data plate on the unit and it looks like there is one hidden behind the coolant bottle. Thought I would ask before taking things apart.

Reason I am interested is that when my Sea Recovery 110V water maker is running (35AMP draw @110V) I don't have any charging output from my Mastervolt inverter/charger.

thanks

Re: Nothern Light Generator question.....

Why do you think it's preventing your Mastervolt from charging? You would think it would bog the generator down until it blows the breaker.

Re: Nothern Light Generator question.....

I don't know where people get their data but this genset is rated for 50A at 120V 60Hz, 25A for 240V 60Hz and 22.7A for 220V 50Hz.

Each 110/120V winding has a 30A breaker so those will only protect the copper wire used for the generator windings at 60A for 120V or 30A for 220/240V.

This genset is a beauty, love it!

cheers,
Nick.
