Isolate the Fan

Great idea. I will try this. Some of the 4 working fans are less noisy than the others, and I think this may be the reason.

Fans Are Hella on Solar Array - Why speed change?

Checked and found that my fans are Hella too. Will try your fix.

Also, they are powered by a solar array. Could this be causing the fluxuations in fan velocity that I am also noticing? When some of the four fans speed up, they predictably get a bit noisier.
