New Solar Power Alternative - If You Can Believe it

Time for something "light" from the "Ten Gadgets You Never Knew Existed" file:

A Solar Powered Bikini...

Now, if I can just get my wife to wear one--and get her plugged into the yacht...

Ya think?

Actually this is a great excuse to have the 10 models......

when the wife sees them, you just explain: "but honey... I only picked them for their ability to fill out the bikini and generate power for us....."

on second thought.....

I think there may be some shadowing on some of those cells.

I am willing to volunteer to the measure the output. I can see where to attach the test leads, and I think I see a spot to fit the shunt.

I'm not too sure if the structure the panels are mounted on would hold up to the pounding it would take during a long blue water crossing......

Oh brother. You all should know that that model is just a damaged as all the rest .. Nothing but trouble and that in fact the the other type( standard solar cells) is FAR cheaper to operate. Also as simple men the other type is within our relm of understanding . Oh one more thing comes with instructions and a WARRANTY. And don't forget the partner incompatibility factor

Re: New Solar Power Alternative - If You Can Believe it

The real irony here is that if I were to get one of those outfits in _my_ size it would work much better... so the real problem is that if I suggest the wife gets one, she'll suggest _I_ do.

And my 250 pound male frame looks pretty funny in a bikini. So _there's_ your morning mental picture. Enjoy!

The panel(s) look nice, but I like the mount better.

If there's too much sun how could you turn them off?
