The Dead Xantrax one, 1800 Watts, Where was it made, China, where else, Hahahahahahaha. $2000-00, they want for a new Xantrax 1800 watt one,

Yaringa is cold, But I dont get down there much, Its a 2 hour return trip,
The fibreglasser cant do much with the cold either, You cant fibreglass in cold conditions,

The rain is currently endless,

Yaringa is great for the people there, They are all friendly and helpfull,

I am on the side of Mt Dandy, so its probably colder than Yaringa,

I just installed my new roof hatch on the boat, the old one got bent and twisted, and was missing a few screws, ????????????????? I think some one wanted it, but could not get the screws undone

The new one cost me $359-00 Delivered, Bomar, They want about $750-00 minimum here for the same one, If they charged $400-00 for it, I would have bought it here, support Aussie business,

All companys must make a profit, Which I agree with,
But excessive profiteering is a totally different story,

Cheers,
Brian,

Re: New Electrics

Hope you have better luck with that invertor than I had with mine. I bought one that looked the same but in another colour scheme off ebay. Seemed ok at first, but it would not drive a circular saw that draws 180watts.

It must have been one of those smoke powered machines. On day, when it was about 3 months old, all the smoke escaped, and so it would not work again. The ebay seller didn't want to know about it, so now it is scrap metal.

I replaced it with a 1800W Xantrax and it runs everything in the house.

Re: New Electrics

Just hooked up two 12 volt batterys to my new invertor, its still 12 volt out.

It wont run my 170 Amp invertor welder, Maybe invertor to invertor just doesnt work, But Thats over my head,

But it does run both my 5 inch grinder and my 550 watt hand drill at the same time with ease, Thats with both loaded,

Yep. I am very happy with the invertor, I just have to try a micro wave on it, and see what happens,

TV and laptop are the only other things I have that are 240 volt, everything else is 12 volt,

TV and laptop can both be run on 12 volt as well, I do have the adaptors for both,

Cheers,
Brian,
