Need Help Identifying This Wind Generator

This wind gen is incredibly quiet.
The boat is stern in at a dock.

Anyone know the make of the generator?

Hi - We don't have a boat yet but found these while doing our homework. Those are Aerogen 6 Wind Generators.

Yes, a Rutland. Very quick but also very little output...

Re: Need Help Identifying This Wind Generator

Don't get the 913. I took one across the Pacific some years back and absolutely loved everything about it . . . . . . . except for the output. Most days I got exactly half the manufacturer's claimed amps. 9 amps was my max as I battled through 20 ft waves with 1 reef and a staysail. Such a shame because the claims about low noise are quite true.

Maybe the new 914 model is better ? ? ?

I'm afraid better also means much more expensive. The D400 and Superwind are King & Queen of the windgens, the rest is well behind but I would look at Kiss and Aerogen if my budget forced me to look at cheaper models than the top units.

There are no problems with the Rutland's. They are just low power, incl. the 914.

I believe Rutlands are 250 watts.

So what is average in power? 500 watts?
What is a typical common output?
