Re: Mark Grasser Alternator Regulators

I would prefer a large frame alternator but no one has answered my post on if a large frame will fit a Lehman 80. My boat is in Fiji and I am far away so cannot find out myself.

The other issue is large frame in a Delco or Motorola style 1 or 2" single lower foot mount. I do not see this in LN

Failing a large frame, the plan is to use a small frame 105A Leece Neville alternator and de-rate it to 80A using the regulator

Re: Mark Grasser Alternator Regulators

Just because it may fit on your engine, it may not still fit on your boat, so it might not be answerable unless someone is familiar with your boat.
The engine enclosure on my boat is tight, right where the alt mounts, and that is what determines what will fit on mine

Re: Mark Grasser Alternator Regulators

That's the problem we had with marks kit for our 4-236 but we had some mods done locally and it's great now
