Magnacharge 27DC-180 Battery. -anyone used them?

Hi!

Im on the search for new batts for my 26ft cabin cruiser. I have a Very limited budget. Im looking for one starting battery and a small house bank.
My local battery store carrys "Magnacharge" brand. He recommends the 27DC-180. Using one battery as the starting battery, and two of them togeather as the house bank. I can get all three batterys for $300. Pretty cheep!
But im unsure if these are my best bang for my buck for the house bank. These batterys say deep cycle on them, But I believe there a dual purpose.
Has anyone used these batterys in the past who could comment?

ps. My current house bank is one 8+ year old 12V battery with zero life left. So anything really will be a huge upgrade for me
