Re: lithium battery source/price thread

Aren't all these made in China anyway? Many times low prices are due to cutting out reseller and not from manufacturing shortcuts. Hard part is telling which is which.

Re: lithium battery source/price thread

Thanks again newhaul,. So many threads on the subject and so much info it's hard to keep track, and I see you included shipping in the price which makes sense to me for comparing bottom line costs.

Re: lithium battery source/price thread

It's really hard to shop on AliExpress half of their batteries are free shipping another half have shipping that's almost equal to the battery that they're listing. Will Prose has a YouTube channel and he tests batteries, the second he recommends a battery it gets sold out, or the prices go through the roof. I'm just looking for a hundred amp hours for about $400.

How it works, and you can bet he's getting income from multiple angles.

The trick is to find a vendor you trust, perhaps from fellow members whose statements **you** have learned to trust.

Still a roll of the dice with no effective warranty if you're buying from any overseas source directly.

Re: lithium battery source/price thread

Okay I pulled the trigger. I confirmed that 2x means he's going to send me two cells for every order and I went ahead and ordered for four which means eight cells hopefully. Twice what I was originally intending but they are Winston supposedly listed as used but not used 100% good references.Click image for larger version

About$4 an amp hr for a high-quality battery, I don't think I can beat it.

Re: lithium battery source/price thread

So to be clear, 8x 90A "as new" cells for $724?

Have you got the gear to capacity test them on arrival?

I'd get at least two spares before he's out.

Or just clear the lot if they test well, should be at least 92-93Ah at say a CC 0.3C rate.

PS he's really asking for big fines not getting authorized HazMat handling, but that's his lookout.

?? 708 plus shipping for 8 90ah cells.. your math is a little off, heh heh I totally wanted to misspell my response[emoji48] joking aside he's now asking more for shipping so we'll see what happens. My goal from the beginning was a100ah bank for about $400. But I doubled down when I saw these were Winston's that are supposedly not used with a 100% recommended seller.
Edit. I realize it appears that I bought two batteries for 708 sorry for the teasing.
