Lightning Protection Using Transient Voltage Suppression

Browsing through the literature it appears to be recommended to have a Transient Voltage Suppressor (TSV) attached to every electronic device on board including coax aerials. I find millions of these devices listed by various manufacturers. Anyone got the knowledge to offer a recommendation for the usual electronic devices and aerials on board. Even one good supplier might be useful.
Thanks

For coax, the best seem to be polyphasers PolyPhaser | Coaxial Surge Protectors

Its the most common brand used for military and commercial installations.
