LED Utility Lights ?

In closets it is a convenience, in engine rooms and lazarettes it safety enhancing: Lighting.

Are there any good (not fancy but truly functional) LED fixtures which are specifically designed for utility lighting like that ?

I've got a few LED flashlights that were two for $3.50. I have a $10 head light that is pretty good too. I've had good results with the Sensibulb halogen replacements for Halogens that draw .5 amps @ 12 volts.

Try your local heavy duty truck shop and look for 4" round LED "back up" lights. They are inexpensive, 12 volts, and there will be several different mounting options.

I took your suggestion and just googled led backup lights which got me to led trailer lights, white led backup lights, led truck lights, led turn signals, LED Cab Marker Lights, Tire pressure indicators, Tire pressure caps, tire monitor, valve stem caps . Looks like a great place to start.

Thanks,

I installed some cheap LED lights from Costco, meant for closets and under kitchen cabinets, in my engine compartment. I don't recall the price, but I think it was less than $15 for two lights.
