LED Festoon Bulbs

I bought some LED festoons from the chandler for my nav lights.
They are very disppointing in output compared with the incandescents, and I'd frankly rather half-flatten the battery and be seen.

Any recommendations for high-putput ones?

Did you install "white" LEDS behind coloured lenses?
White LED bulbs should not be used behind coloured lenses in nav' lights, as they will not produce the required brightness.
Only the corresponding coloured LEDs should be used in nav lights with coloured lenses.

Well I guess that's it for my bi-colour bow nav light.

You can get a BAY15 tricolour LED but I have not seen bicolour festoons yet.

What if you change the bow light to a BAY15 fitting?
