Kohler generator warranty

I have a Fountaine Pajot Bahia. All cooking is electric - no gas.
In October I fitted a new 9Kw Kohler generator in Gibraltar. Crossed the pond, leaving Canaries end of November. Generator packed up 2nd December. Apparently a starter motor problem. Fortunately, we were only 2 days from Cap Verdes, so popped in and bought a gas cooktop which took us to Barbados. I am now having problems getting Kohler to repair our generator.
Has anyone had good or bad experiences with the Kohler warranty program?
Does anyone have contact with Directors in either the US or Europe?

Funny I was reading up on generator warranty claims las night to see who has he most/ least issues. After what I read I would not buy a Kohler ever. Good luck with warranty service I Had read at least a dozen circumstances where they denied coverage on units less than a year old. Hope you have better success .

Thanks again Dulcesuenos. Would be interested in reading your reference re: "who has the most/least issues".
Spoke with Engineer on 240 foot power boat/yacht and he said that although they don't have any Kohler, all companies are slow to service warranty claims. Main problem is the cost. Regardless of what we as the punters think, it costs them a **** load of money and it is (and I love this term) negative profit.
Good news though. A guy will be on board today to see what parts are needed, so I am finally under way. ….
