Know a good supplier?

I'm looking for a supplier of electrical material (wires, switches, etc). Would like to be able to order by internet.

We have had very good luck with bestboatwire.com. Honest and fast.

I buy most of my electrical supplies on ebay. Tinned wire is generally 1/2 the price of the other suppliers.

Defender Industries. I don't know if they ship to Canada. I would stick with marine grade electrical components. I don't think McMaster has much of that. Marine grade seems ridiculously expensive at times but it usually relates back to corrosion. Corrosion is what makes makes electrical systems on boats unreliable more than anything else. Also, be sure to stick to ABYC standards with your electrical system or some equivalent classification. I don't know what Canada has for yacht electrical standards.

Defender is good, but Best Boat Wire sells pacer products, just as good I believe as anchor at a significant cost savings assuming you are getting a fair quantity.

I am rewireing my 40' endeavour in Febuary soon as possible and the price difference is a enough to make me smile.

Genuinedealz on ebay (also on the web). Great quality and prices. They'll also make custom battery cables for cost of materials plus $1 per cable end to install the connector and heat shrink. Much better job than I could do myself (or my boatyard)
