Kiss Generator Disassembly

I have gott a hold of a KISS Wind Generator. I neeed to replace the bearings. I have been to their website and they say use a soft mallet to separate the assembly from the husing. Hunh? Whacking on fibreglass?

I have the endcover off and cannot extract it.

Any help would be appreciated.
