isolation Transformer

I have found two diffrent Isolation Transformers. One from Charles industries which with an input of 220v ac you recieve 120v ac and another from Olson Electric that has a three position switch -- If you input 120 v you position it on #1 and you recieve 120 In position #2 if you input 220v you recieve 120v. Position #3 allows you to input 250v and reviece 120v. The one from Olson is $996 while the one from Charles is $625. Does anyone have experience with whether how stable the voltage is in different countries. Our first stop is going to be Spain. From there we will move down the Med to France,Italy etc. Is it worth almost $400 for this extra feature?

We have a Mastervolt with inputs listed as 115V & 230V. The 230v input worked perfectly in Spain, France, Italy and other European countries, so I'm not sure what the difference is between the 220 & 250. Having the 120v input is nice if you plan to return to the USA or those few other places that have 120v and you would still like to have an isolation transformer.

The voltage is stable, really everywhere in teh med, most of the problems are low voltage do to undersized marina power wiring not overvoltage.

I've used the Charles and found it quite reliable if a bit heavy. I like the idea of multiple input taps so I can get 120VAC 50/60Hz out regardless of the power company, loads on the dock, or the location of my slip.
