Is there a Firefly battery source in Australia

I'm semi interested in replacing T 105 house bank with Firefly carbon foam batteries. I got a quote from them in India at 340 USD each plus an estimated 700 USD shipping to Oz. Not sure if t hat was per each or for the lot of three that I specified.

There is a mickey mouse distributor allegedly in Oz (possibly NZ) but they only have a Facebook site and I don't do FB, and have grave suspicions about a firm that does biz that way exclusively.

So, has anyone purchased these batteries successfully here in Oz?

Jim

^^ The Oz FB was last active in 2014!!!

I couldn't find any other Oz reference either but maybe some solar product distributors know something????

Do you have a setup where chronic PSOC abuse is truly unavoidable?

How close to 100% Full can you get at least a couple times per week while living off-grid?

John, please don't start advising me about my system. I just want the answer to a simple question about availability.

I’m also interested in finding a supplier.

This is just a guess, but Rainbow Power Company (used to be in Nimbin ) may know something.

Does Firefly India not know who their distributors are? Or won't they tell you?

$700 usually is for 1 cu.m. so if several boats were ordering together the shipping, duty, GST, and sundry fees gets handled by a logistics service and still costs the same. I did this in Sydney a few years ago with 21 AGMs for 3 boats.

Their production capacity is much lower than just the US demand.

Re: Is there a Firefly battery source in Australia

Just chiming in here to let folks know that Firefly production is now able to keep up with demand. We have plenty of batteries in the US, however are looking for dealers to stock Firefly in OZ & NZ. We are getting requests for Firefly often from both locations but shipping small quantities is very expensive per battery. So...as they say: Dealer inquiries welcomed...

And what's wrong with the UK

If you want a lead, these folks are well thought of in the UK, no connection, just a happy customer.

Good point. We've shipped to the UK (expensive), and really could use a stocking dealer/distributor there as well!

I wonder if we should offer a finder's fee for kicking a dealer into action...Hmm.
