Inline charging question

After hooking up a single battery charger to shorepower can the automatic bilge pump be running while the charger is running? Or will this blow the pump?

(Lancer 28, Single house battery, no other load except automatic bilge in rainy season).

Bilge is 12 volt , 2 and a half amp, 350 Gph

The chargers I'm looking at are Promarine 8 or 12.

Not a problem.

Re: Inline charging question

I second skipmac. In fact it could keep your boat afloat longer than the battery alone could if you get a leak at the dock.

Is that the only bilge pump you have? I think you should have more than one pump. At least get a bigger one. You can get pumps up to about 800 gph that will work with the same hose your 350 gph pump uses. Very easy upgrade.
