How to remove Aqua Signal Allround light Series 20 lens?

My very 1st post because I didn't find anything in my search.

I need to replace the bulb in my all-round light but can't figure out how to get the lens off. This is an Aqua Signal Series 20 all-around, pedestal, A-16 light.

Is there something I'm missing? There are something like slots at the bottom that suggested a screwdriver inserted into them to pop a tab, maybe?

I don't want to break anything so any advice would be very welcomed.

It's a twist and lock, the slot you can see is for the tab on the clear bit to lock into. Should just twist off.

If you don't mind me asking another question but the bulb is extracted by turning and pulling out?

Gosh now you are testing my memory, can I phone a friend?

The bulb is held in place with a bronze z shaped piece of metal. The bulb is nothing special and but has a dimple in each end to hold in place on the bottom spike and small indent on the bronze strip. Later ones I think had a stainless steel strip and a festoon type bulb, again easily obtainable.

Shouldn't you be using mains voltage lights in that house?

I don't see a bronze/SS Z piece and the bulb isn't a festoon type bulb. It looks like it is a small push and turn that locks into place by two nipples on opposite sides.
I pushed and saw some movement like it would come out but then it stayed in place. It has a copper/brown disc that may have to come out.

Oh dear, sounds like a bayonet bulb. Does it look like this:

Push down and twist about 60 degrees.

It indeed was that type of bulb and with out your expert advice I would have never gotten the bulb out.
Your suggestion of the LED bulb will be the way I go. Even though I will bring the mast down at the end of every Chesapeake Bay season. It sure would be nice to not have to worry about it burning out or use up much power.
