How to attach a battery tray to hull?

Hi!

I am installing new battery on the boat. It is 27 size 60lb amg battery.
I ve got plastic battery tray for it. I am planning to mount it along bulkhead on the horizontal flat part of the hull near middle. I am definitely can not use screws to attach to the fiberglass hull. Would be epoxy glue is strong enough to attach plastic tray to hull? Should I epoxy a fiberglass cloth on the bottom of tray, first, and then to glue to hull?

Has somebody experience in attaching plastic and fiberglass parts together?

I used a putty knife to spread epoxy on 3/4 inch plywood. Then I modeled the plywood design using cardboard. Then I cut the plywood and put some quick dry 5200 on the plywood strips (ribs). Then use epoxy and glass to glass in the ribs. Try to have ribs that are permanent and screw a deck on top of the ribs. Spread epoxy with a paint stirring stick from the paint store. Be very careful about getting your epoxy mixture exact.
