Hot wire, bypass Volvo-Penta EVC

Simple enough. Anyone know how to bypass the EVC four button engine control box. Mine won’t power up. Have a new one ordered but want to know how if away from home.

Cheers

Re: Hot wire, bypass Volvo-Penta EVC

Guess this is sort of a hot topic in the states, plenty of liability & other legal issues. Here is an article on how to emergency start your engine in german, hope google translate will do the trick.

and yes, you can break stuff doing that. On the other hand, not being able to start your engine in an emergency because of a faulty, cheapo microswitch on the panel can lead to broken stuff as well.

... and locate the stop leaver on the injection pump beforehands...
