Help, Please, with Link 2000

I bought a link 2000 with a freedow25 modified wave charger and inverter.
I have two battery banks.
#1= 3x 8d gel bateries, each a 225amp to equal to 675 amp hour.
#2= 1x 8d gel [ staring engine] 225 amp hour.

I started to read the installation manual for the link 2000 and it seems like I have to change the charging parameters because I have gel batteries and the factory setting was for acid batteries. I'm a little confused as to how to go about changing the parameters and also when entering the battery capacity on the bank what should i use 675amps or 225 amps?
Also I don't know if this is going to relate to the link 2000 but I have a solar aray of 285 watz and an inboard generator. The solar aray I have connects to a voltage regulator and then directly to the batteries with the [-] connecting to the link 2000 shunt. I wonder if any of you see a problem or a conflict with this please let me know so I can power on the systems.
Sorry to trouble you guys ,but for the past 4 days and alots of calls to xantrex I have not been able to speak to someone so I'm stuck and have to leave the dock.

Ignore the solar panel, it has nothing to do with link charging parameters.

Use the total battery capacity of the bank you are charging, hopefully you have the banks tied together to look like one big battery. If you have it in two banks and a selector switch, the the switch should be on "both" for charging.

The Link manual states F02 sets battery type for charging, probably use gel, normal charge to be safe. I think you said you had gel cells.

I would do it slightly differently.... I would not charge both banks together. Pretty sure the freedom25 has an echo charge (my freedom30 has two)... I would do it as I have: Set up bank #1 as bank #1 in the link2000, and on the primary charger. Set up bank #2 as bank #2 in the link2000, hooked up with echo charge.

You don't want an inverter load drawing down the starting battery - keep it separate (on a switch is OK).

I have a manual bat.switch separating the banks,should I put a batery automatic charge relay in them,that will charge bouth togueter and disconect when sence a amp disharge from the bat to the system, I belive that blue sea makes one
