Galvanic Isolators

Well after waiting 15 years on on list I'm finally in a slip this year. I will be plugged in with the fridge running and battery charger on. I don't think there is a GA on the boat and do I even need one?

Re: Galvanic Isolators

A galvanic isolator will protect you from faulty shore power and from any faults on your neighbours boats. It is cheap protection. Make sure you buy one that is ABYC compliant as there are still some on the market without failsafe modes and without capacitors.
