Fullriver Batteries

This is NOT a battery discussion. I only want to know if anyone has any expeirience with Fullriver AGM batteries.

I'll be able to comment in a few months - installing four new DC400-6 L16-sized Fullrivers for the house right now. And a couple DC210-12 4D's for the engine start and windlass.

The charging system will be a combination of a Magnum Energy inverter/charger with battery temperature sensor and monitoring shunt/kit, two Iota DLS-75/IQ4 chargers (adjusted for AGMs) - all driven either by 2x30A shorepower or 7.6kW genset, and the engine alternator (Balmar 94-190 dual output with battery and alternator temperature sensors). We're also pre-wiring for a mizzen-mounted wind generator (probably SWWP Air Breeze) and solar panels which we hope to install this fall.

The engine alternator dual-output will split-charge the 4D AGM engine start battery and house bank. One of the Iota chargers will use a BlueSeas ACR to split charge a 4D AGM windlass battery and the house bank. The combination of the Iota and Magnum chargers will have a peak draw of 54A on the 120-240VAC genset, which is rated for 63A max.

The genset will have its own isolated start battery.

Please note Gord's referenced submissions regarding AGM and Fullriver. Those Fullriver batts are still working well. Keep in mind that I've had over thirteen years of good service with the German gel-cell batts as well.

How long did those Fullriver AGM's last in the end? We are seriously considering them over Gels in 2020.
