Fridge compressor

I have an engine driven Sanden compressor for my fridge / freezer setup.
This was replaced 10 years ago as the seals in the old one had given up.

Does anyone have any idea how long these compressors last ?

In other words, 10 years on, should we be replacing it now before it fails ??

Thanks in advance for your words of wisdom / experience...

According to their website, Sanden compressors are designed and validated for use on mobile air conditioning applications only.
I'd consider an alternative solution, when the present compressor fails (unless you're preparing for a cruise - why fix it, if it ain't broke?).

Thanks Gord....that's the point..

We are preparing for a cruise..

The Sanden unit is commonly used in our neighbourhood as a fridge compressor and this one has worked well..

What alternatives are there that may last the distance / be more efficient $4$ ...o'wise I'll just install another one of these ?

Cheers
