Totally agree. Also for safety the wire is to be double covered. I always use the covered red yellow. The white cover is easy to mark with a sharpie to keep things organized

Okay, you got me on this one. I'm not familiar with SAE wire sizes. In the US, all I've ever heard of is AWG for wire sizes. Can you please explain what the SAE code for wire sizing is? And when one may come across it?

SAE conductors have, on average, about 12% less copper than same sized boat cable.
