eBay LFP seller CALB CA100FL at decent pricing

No idea how legit

top quality vs factory seconds
new vs used
matched / balanced sets

or what

but $400 delivered for a 4S 12V set at 100A is a great price for the US market

I think you can find a better offer on alliexpress.com

I like the fact that I can test on arrival, and if I don't think they're up to snuff, I'm guaranteed a quick refund and the seller has to pay for the return shipping.

Try that with an Ali seller.

John. That ebay seller states no returns. If they are CALB and test 3.2 volts, ebay guarantee is not good either.

Re: eBay LFP seller CALB CA100FL at decent pricing

This is posted at the bottom of the page:

I am a student that started this small eBay business as a way to help pay for school. I am excited to see where it goes.. The wide variety of items come from storage locker purchases in Las Vegas so I can pass on good pricing to you. I will always do my best to describe the items. I always want you happy so if you have a problem with the purchase please let me know and I will resolve it. Unfo

He has a feed back of 9 which includes two lots of these batteries, interestingly to the same person, a student mate? The price then was $599, so a big drop to the current price.

However, worth a $400 gamble to see how they last before buying a larger bank perhaps?

He claims new.

Voltage is irrelevant.

If the do not load test at claimed capacity AH, obviously not new.

Every new CALB set I've worked with actually tested 5-15% above rated AH.

Can I buy a verb?

As stated above, with local pickup there is no eBay / PayPal warranty.

Also as stated above, seller can state no returns but that is irrelevant

if not listed as status "parts only", eBay guarantees the item to be working.

Also no matter what the stated status, you get your money back if item is "not as described".

He does not need to take it back, but the money will be refunded to the buyer.

If he wants it back, he has to pay the return shipping.

Many sellers (also on Amazon) just abandon the goods.

As stated above, eBay takes the buyer's word over the seller's. Terrible platform for sellers, CL much better.

There are millions of scamming buyers that take advantage of these facts, I am not suggesting doing that.

Re: eBay LFP seller CALB CA100FL at decent pricing

His listing has changed since I contacted him. Local pickup now, doesn't look like he is shipping.
Here is his response to my questions:
"Good morning, yes t confirm the price is fora lot of 4 Calb CA100 cells. I am not sure about a manufacturing date I will check when I get in. They are new and out of the crate. Unfortunately we can not offer returns on batteries for a number of reasons first of which would be there is no serial number on them to ensure people weren't just swapping out their old batteries for our new ones.

You can certainly wait until there is more feedback on the batteries, however after another lot sells the price will go up to $349 then after 3 sell $379 which is where market value is on the batteries.

Anymore questions feel free to ask."

But he didn't respond back to me when I asked for the "cells test data issued by the factory" or manufacturing date as suggested by a rep. from CALB. The CALB warranty is 3 years based on cell production day. Or 2.5 years after sales.
So could be a good buy or could not. Pay your price and takes your chances.

Re: eBay LFP seller CALB CA100FL at decent pricing

Please post or PM your contact info for a direct CALB rep.

And yes, if shipping is no longer an option, pickup only, then the eBay / PayPal guarantees no longer protect you, and you would need to get him to agree to your load testing them at his place before final payment.

Re: eBay LFP seller CALB CA100FL at decent pricing

The details page still discusses shipping.

So if he does ship as promised, he does have the option to refuse returns, but the buyer will still get a full refund on Used items if they are Not As Described.

On high-value items, the seller usually is willing to get them back by paying the return shipping.

Many sellers do not know all this, but even when they do, they often try the "no returns" tactic to keep the percentages down.

I just heard that the tarriff on hardware manufactured in China is going up from 15% to 25% on Jan 1, 2019. Could this be true about LiFePo4 and SolarPV.
