Does you recognize this voltage regulator?

I am helping a friend sort out the electrical system on a new-to-him Hunter 31. In particular, there is an external voltage regulator that I need info on. A picture is attached. The boat has a Westerbeke W21, but the PO said the alternator was upgraded, and presumably also the VR. There is no identifying info on the VR, unless it is on the back. (We'll take it off and look next time.) My friend has no documentation on this. Does anyone recognize or have any information on this VR?



Aside from the identification, I have two questions:

1. What do the three lights mean?

2. The blue patch on the lower left side of the VR looks like it might have been a terminal. (The electrical work done by the PO is atrocious.) Does anyone know anything about this?

Looks like a Transpo VR1200. This is a adjustable regulator, I think you adjust it with a magnet at the blue square. Don't know what the lights mean but you should be able to find instructions on the web. Good Luck
