Does this hurt my batteries?

i have a house bank of 4 AGM 8d batteries (245 amp hours each) - the boat is currently docked and undergoing an extensive refit- the batteries are hooked up to a float charger and likely to be not used for anything for the next 12 months or so- is it ok to leave them this way? disconnect them completely? what is the right thing here - the batteries are brand new and i would like for them to still be usable when the boat starts cruising in 18-24 months. Any advice would be appreciated- thanks

The float charger is fine.

The best strategy would have been to wait until just before you were ready to launch the boat to buy new batteries.
