Busted, the 2 little arrows are likely "date clocks" and if both are pointing to 5, suggest May 2005. Normally date clocks have month around the outside and the center will have the year (2 digit) with an arrow pointing to the correct month. This is assuming that the date clocks are kept up to date and very often they are not. I have just ordered a bunch of "14" center inserts but I have several molds with old dates and lots with 2011 so don't put a lot of credence in the molded in dates. Many customer do not want to spend the money
to update the date clocks. And remember, this is the molded date, not the manufactured date. Cavity 5 identifies the mold
used. While it might be a 2 cavity mold
, this is more likely the 5th mold made. We just started construction of mold # 4893 in the custom molding shop I work at.
