Cost for Generator, Aircon, Davits ?

Doing a new boat build list and rough budget.
Anyone care to give me rough estimates for the following items for a 40' boat.
1. Davit - for tender and solar
2. Generator - integrated
3. Aircon install
Yeah, yeah, how long is piece of string! If you have any data or history with such things please post along with any caveats etc.
Ta.

Our davits cost $3,500 in a commercial yard in main, Wells in Florida wanted $11,000

Solar was $2,400 for 400 watts fitted, but the price is down.

When I looked at generators they were about $1,500 per KW and you do need one with a full sound shield.

A/C you will need two 16,000 BTU units at about $2,000 each with a pump and ducting.

Out boat is bigger but I am sure the estimates are not that far off.

Moondancers prices are right on. Installation of the genset will add $3-5K. Don't buy too big of a genset. A 5 KW will work fine and will run and start two 16,000 BTU A/Cs if you install a Dometic Smart Start to reduce starting current.

You can put a 150 watt solar panel on the top of your davits which is an easy installation. The cost of the panel, controller, wire and tubing and fittings will only be $750 or so. I wouldn't install any more panel capacity with a genset on board.

Kato Marine makes good davits for almost any sailboat.

I'd agree with the above but add the cost of installation of A/C far exceeds the purchase price. When we installed A/C on our boat, the cheapest install quote was $7000 above the equipment purchase price. Naturally the labor varies depending on the complexity of the installation.
