Charles charger

I have a Charles charger on my 2005 Cruisers yachts 375 Motoryacht that has 3 outputs.

Does anyone know if there is connectivity between each of these outputs?

The reason I ask is - I am seeing connectivity across the positive leads on my 3 different batteries (port / starboard / house batteries) even when they are disconnected from the batteries.

I am wondering whether this battery charger is providing the connectivity I am seeing using my ohmmeter.

Thanks for any help

Re: Charles charger

On the high-end ProMariner and Sterlings, the multiple outputs are definitely fully isolated.

So Charles "should" be, but I'd go back and test directly at the charger.

Are there other switch / gadgets between the banks?

Re: Charles charger

It all depends on how old it is. This link is an old thread, too.

Re: Charles charger

You can’t use an ohm meter on a powered wire / battery...

Didsicinnect charger leads and turn off charger. Then measure again at charger leads only

Better to test with voltage. Not ohms. Put a big drain on one bank to drop voltage. See if other banks drop too. Or not

But any charger should be isolated.
