BMW D50

Hello, I have a BMW D50 with starter motor problems. It is a Bosch but is a reverse spin so very unusual. It is basically stuffed so desperately need a replacement. Any ideas please are much appreciated. I have contacted Richie in Canada & am awaiting a reply.
Thank you

Re: BMW D50

Re: BMW D50

Unfortunately no...I have the part no in my workshop manual but suspect it is the BMW part no for it. The motor is in the workshop right now, due back shortly. It does have a lot of markings on the Bendix so maybe that could be of use. Thank you for reply.

Re: BMW D50

Yes, the numbers are 1241 1329 906 so seems to be the one. I have looked up the 2 sites you sent, thank you! Can you tell me if the re-conditioned one is a Bosch? I could not understand that one. Having read a few threads it seems the after manufacture replacements are not all that good. There is a new CCW in the States but it is not much cheaper than the new Bosch. If the re-con is a Bosch that might be a less expensive option.
