Anyone know a source for the pictured battery terminals with the double posts on them? The old ones are cross threaded and beat up and need replacing.

The space I have to work with and the length of the cables does not lend itself to adding a buss bar, and I am not looking for another project, so as useful as that sort of reply may be to the general knowledge of the forum (seriously), I am only interested in replacing these specific parts.

From a French built Beneteau, formerly in charter, so lord knows where these originated.

Or you could use one of theses, which you can get at any auto supply, take the clamp off and just use the bolts.

If you're only using one post on each terminal, like in your picture, then you can just go with these.

Yet another choice, assuming you can get by with only 1 threaded stud. Tinned copper, so should be better (lower resistance, less likely to work loose) than the ones made of lead. Sold at just about all the marine chandlers.

Thanks to all for the suggestions and for taking the time to look these items up.

I do need the double posts, the picture I used has one post on each of the terminals exposed and unused just to make it clear what I am looking for.

Using the clamp type and discarding the clamp, and reversing the bolts is a good idea. I am afraid that the large cable terminal ends will not have much room to make contact on such a small surface, but I will look at those and see if I can make those work.

The Trojan battery posts would be perfect if I could just get Concorde to use them my new Lifeline AGMs :-)

I would still be interested if anyone knows where to find the same type connector as pictured, but will try some of these suggestions in the mean time.

Push comes to shove, you can put the lead under the clamp nut. The whole thing sound like a non issue?

Or you could just buy new batteries from COSTCO, they already have both lug and stud terminals.

I think that the amount of surface area making contact between the lug on the battery cable and the terminal is an issue. I did look at the clamp style today at a local store and only about half of a lug for 6 gauge cable made contact when using each of the two bolts as an individual threaded terminal. The larger cables on the boat would be making even a smaller percentage of contact.

I am not claiming this an insurmountable problem, or even a huge issue. I just thought someone might have seen these types of terminals and know where I could buy them.
