Re: Battery Super Hot, May Not Be Taking a Clharge

My recent experience with the purchase of 6v deep cell batteries is that they are very much more expensive than automotive batteries (which can't tolerate the harsh marine environment). My 6v batteries are ROLLS AGM which have 400+ah @20amp EACH giving a total of 1000+ amp hrs when combined with my two series 31 AGMS my house bank. I only NEED to charge every 3 1/2 days, depending on wind and sun.

6v flooded golf cart batteries are cheap. and the cheapest way to build a house bank.

yours are not golf cart. they sound like L16, or something custom rolls. they are almost twice the size of GC. also one of the most expensive brands if not the most. and in AGM. not really a comparison of comparing 6v to automotive. compare yours to a rolls AGM 8D and see what happens. that is an auto (truck) battery.

Re: Battery Super Hot, May Not Be Taking a Clharge

Your right smac999, they are L16, and not the most expensive on the market here in Canada, (because there' Canadain made) so cheaper than most for me. GC bats are the cheapest but if I,m going to spend it, I only want to cry once! As you probably know the AGM has the advantage of any oriantation which opens adoptions not available to GC bats…..IMHO
