Battery Master Switch Load Rating

I have a Bosch master switch 0341 002 004 (DPST) which according to the Bosch literature is load rated 24 V 250 A, 2500 A (5 s).

This switch is being used in a 12v system. How much alternator charging current can I pass safely through this switch?

Thanks for the help!
Michael

250A, assuming the rating is for DC.
