and that is part of the problem. The government really isn't very efficient. Unfortunately, a growing cadre of US businesses mirror the thick middle layer of bureaucracy we see in the offices of most government orgs these days. Just this week I attended a meeting that needed 15 people in an hour conversation to figure out what could have been accomplished by 2 people in 5 minutes if someone had just bothered picking up the phone and listening.

Dragging this one back into circulation - but based on the OP's original thought, not the politics that the thread involved into. If battery storage is the problem, these guys may have found the answer - and it's simply carbon.

One thing they didn't mention in the video is the leakage current on the capacitor. Higher power capacitors is great but they tend to loose the charge in a relatively short time. If that problem can be overcome then we are looking at a major breakthrough in portable power.
