Balmar Centerfielder

Does the Balmar Centerfielder while directing power to the house bank also charge the start batteries? If it does then does it also prevent the start batteries from being overcharged while it brings the house bank up? Do I need to install new regulators? Thanks.

Re: Balmar Centerfielder

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, My Lady.

No. The Centerfielder is used to regulate 2 Alternators/Regulators charging a Single Battery Bank.

Wouldn't that be the Balmar "Digital Duo."

Re: Balmar Centerfielder

Agreed. That would effectively charge both batteries but it would not couple both alternators on my twin setup so they would not be fighting and confusing one another, that's why I was looking at the Centerfielder.

Can't both be used together?

Re: Balmar Centerfielder

Yes, I believe that would work but it is getting rather spendy. Looking for a more affordable solution since boat bucks are limited these days.
