B&G Autohelm problems

A friend of our's is coming down the ICW and has continual problems with the autohelm. He can not find any support for the unit. He is in Myrtle Beach right now. It seems that it may be the motor on the ram. But no one can confirm it!!! And the motor is a 1200.00 replacement. It works for a while then dies. He has bled the fluid, and done everything he can do. WHat he really wants is some one he can talk to to help diagnose for sure
