I had a significant typo in my last post. Should have read "...2 hours per day LESS production". You can stop scratching your head now.

Noelex,

this is one source of the Sunpower shading claims. It isn't oranges to oranges for hard line shading, but has some good data:

Thanks for taking the time to pull that up, much more academic response than I was prepared for but more accurate. The harbor is full of boats trying to leave, very busy at this end.

Thank you all for your support, I have completed the installation and it is charging now. I ended up using the 3 largest panels attached to my hard dodger and wired in parallel. Decided on the new mastervolt MPPT 25 solar charger. Thanks again!
