alternator voltage regulator - does it need one?!
hi i suspect this is one for GordMay!!! i have just fitted a new 65A bosch alternator to my 1969 Ford dorset 2701E. does the alternator need an external regulator? all in want to do is complete a basic starting circuit!!!

I believe that model is an internal regulator.

thnx - does that mean i just have to plug in B+ to battery? are the other outlets just for an extern al optional reg? thnx

The question is, what type of alternator did you have before,,,and how was it wired,,this will dictate how much, or how little foolin you will have to do with the wiring.
