alternator and regulator failed

I had an NS2 Ample Power regulator for over a decade and a Ample Power alternator (#1023 105 amp) for almost 20. They both fried recently, also causing a bunch of electronics to self destruct as well. I believe I am going to rebuild the alternator, but reluctant to replace the NS2 ... what other recommendations are out there for regulators? I have a 200 amp our gell battery house bank and a deep cycle engine battery. -- Alan

It looks like Ample is still there. I do know that they are not doing all that they used to do, but they may have the best answer to your question. Why not contact them?

UPDATE: Their corporate license went inactive in September 2014.
