Alternator

Hey folks.
I've got a Motorola alternator, model number MR12N600

I've got no experience with alternators.

Question: Do I need a voltage regulator?

There wasn't one installed by the previous owner... but there was a lot that was left uninstalled by the previous owner.

Thanks for the help.

Yes you do. Based on the number it appears to be a 51 amp alternator. Not a big one but then I expect you knew that part already. Personally, I prefer external regulators as it makes it cheaper to replace the alternator.
